dLife, the first and only national, weekly, lifestyle series devoted to living with diabetes, is now inviting all budding artists to send in their designs for its 2007 holiday cards. Up to 10 winning designs will be made into greeting cards to support the dLife Foundation’s Holiday Cards for a Cause.
There will be five (5) $100 Best Buy Gift Card winners and five (5) $50.00 Best Buy Gift Card winners for the holiday card program.
Is it hard to enter?
Not at all. Any non-professional artist is eligible – kids, teens, even adults. If you have diabetes or you have a loved one with diabetes and you would like to dedicate your work to them, you are free to enter. You can draw or submit any theme that you would like to see as a holiday greeting card. (Sorry, if you have ever received payment for any of your artwork, you are ineligible.)
Entry Deadline
Artwork must be received by July 15, 2007 for consideration.
Are there any specifications?
Just a few, and that is because we want the cards to look magnificent after printing.
- Use paint, markers, pastels, or any electronic graphic program you prefer. Use bold and bright colors. However, do not use glue, sparkles, or pencils (even colored pencils) as they will not print well.
- Use an art board, not plain paper—if you do use plain paper, make sure it is mailed with a rigid surface like cardboard.
- Do not fold your drawing.
- Keep the theme of your art in a general holiday theme. (Religious, winter wonderland, etc. all make for great themes.)
- The original artwork becomes the property of dLife/More than Cards, and cannot be returned without prior agreement.
